Thy Kingdom Come:
Praying together from 26th May - 5th June (Ascension to Pentecost)

Thanks for praying together with other Uniting Churches in WA during the lead up to Pentecost Sunday! We are joining thousands of other churches around the world who are praying during this period for "Thy Kingdom Come" (find out more at thykingdomcome.global)

Below are the 3 simple ways you can get involved:

1. Daily Prayer Journal

Guiding you each day in your prayer time as we pray "Come, Holy Spirit" and pray for our five friends who don't know the Lord.

2. Prayer Rooms

Does praying for a whole hour on your own sound boring or a little daunting? Don't worry, an hour in your church's creative prayer room/space is a fun, relaxing and often very meaningful experience. There'll be helpful instructions, creative ways to pray and a space you'll likely want to go back to!

3. Prayer Points for our congregations

Please take some time to pray for these prayer requests from the Uniting Church congregations participating in "Thy Kingdom Come".

South Mandurah:

  • For the leadership team and the unpacking of NCLS survey results

  • For guidance for a new Pastor

  • For spiritual growth and commitment to read God’s word and to prayer.

  • For those travelling and battling ongoing illness

South Perth:

  • For our "get to know" opportunities opportunities for new people (eg. Blokes and Womens events)

  • For the ways we are adjusting to the new facilities resources we now have, eg. FACES pilot training course, hosting Perth Prayer

  • For the Alpha course currently running and the Holy Spirit weekend on 3-4 June

  • For investment in times of prayer

Maylands/Mt Lawley:

  • For our fledging Sunday Club.

  • For our monthly Young Adults group.

  • For the mission and ministry of our Tuesday Music and Play group.

  • For vision and energy for youth and children's ministry and the development and emergence of leaders.

Evening service at Bicton "The Eve":

  • For growth and opportunity in mission for this small new community

  • For positive collaboration and relationship between the Bicton morning congregation and this new community

  • For provision of resources


Spearwood:

  • For consistency in engagement with new young families

  • For the various outreach programs and their effectiveness in reaching people with the gospel

  • For the care and nurture of their congregation, and people to help with this


The Billabong

  • For the congregation and the leadership team as we explore planting a church in a suburb south of Canning Vale

  • That there would be continued and further development in the prayer culture of our church family

  • For the Christians on the fringes of our church family and the non-Christians connected with our church in some way, that they would hear and understand the gospel and experience a loving spiritual family at The Billabong or another local church

How to sign up for a prayer slot:

1. Once you reach your congregation's sign up page (links above), scroll down and across to the appropriate day and time. Click the slot you wish to sign up for (in a white box with a padlock symbol).

Note that all bookings are automatically exclusive (only YOU will be able to use the prayer room in that time slot)


2. Type in your name, then click "Book". Or, click the settings (cog) button near the top to change specific settings like the duration of time you'll pray for.

3. Click "Finish" and then your name will show up in the schedule (see below).
