Engaging the community of Canning Vale and beyond: employment opportunities

About The Billabong Uniting Church and its Community Centre
The Billabong Uniting Church was established in 2000 and is a vibrant, growing church community with people of all ages. We seek to be a church that engages well with the local community around us. Our community centre was built in 2015 for both worship and use of groups in our community, and is currently used for fitness classes, child care, seminars and more. We wish to see this incredible facility used for many purposes that help us, the people of God, reach the community around us with the love of the Father.

About the role: 'Facilities Co-ordinator'
The facilities co-ordinator will work with the staff and key volunteers of the church to ensure that our community centre is well maintained and utilised by church and community groups who contribute to the vision of The Billabong. This involves managing user agreements for community groups hiring the facility (renewing agreements, invoicing, fees, negotiation), managing the calendars of the 5 multipurpose rooms in the facility, liaising with contractors and church
volunteers for adequate maintenance and repairs, and working closely with the church leadership to enhance and develop effective use of our facilities.
The facilities co-ordinator will work closely alongside the church administrator and other members of the ministry team (paid and volunteer) to help us achieve our goals with the use of our facility.
