Role Description:

The role of the Administrator of The Billabong Uniting Church congregation will be to manage the administrative requirements of the congregation and act as secretary to the Leadership Team of the congregation.


The general areas of responsibility will be:

  • Secretary to the Leadership Team

  • Receptionist at The Billabong Community Centre

  • Assistance to the facilities manager

  • Administrative assistance for ministries of the congregation

  • Administrative assistance to the Minister (PA duties)


Tasks associated with the above role description and responsibilities will be outlined in greater detail through the interview process.


Hours:

This role will be between 0.6 and 0.8 FTE (3-4 days per week). Working hours will take place at The Billabong Community Centre with working hours by negotiation.


Congregational Involvement:

It is essential that the Church Administrator is or becomes a participant in The Billabong Uniting Church congregation.


Award/Salary:

The successful candidate will be employed under the Social and community services award at the level representing the candidates prior experience and qualifications (to be determined by the interview panel and Leadership Team). Skills/qualifications required:

No specific qualification is required for this role, but we seek a candidate with efficient computer skills, who is personable and comfortable engaging with visitors and tenants and works well in a team of other staff. Experience in administration and bookkeeping are preferred, but not required.
